Cornbread (easy)

Ingredients:

1 c self-rising corn meal 1 ea egg 1 c buttermilk 3 Tbls crisco (Solid) |

Directions:

1) Mix all egg, cornmeal and buttermilk. 2) Heat 12" iron skillet, add Crisco so it covers the bottom of the skillet, when melted, about 1/4" deep. 3) Pour hot grease in cornmeal mixture 4) Pour mixture back into skillet 5) Bake in 425 degree oven for 12-15 minutes, or until done. |
